Paid coffee kiosk and pop-up café for UAE events and markets (attendees pay)
If you run a festival, market, fan zone, sports event, university festival or seasonal attraction and want good coffee on site without paying for it yourself, ROAST can run and staff a branded coffee kiosk or cart. Your guests pay per cup at café prices, and the organiser's terms are agreed per event. This is a different model from hiring a hosted coffee cart, where you pay a published day rate. We reply within one working day (Monday to Friday).
Quick answers
- Who pays for the coffee?
- Guests, per cup, at café prices. Organiser terms are a pitch fee, a revenue share or a hybrid, quoted per event.
- Who handles the permit?
- We handle our side as a licensed Dubai F&B operator; the organiser registers the event.
- Is there a minimum duration?
- Quoted per event; no published minimum.
The model: ROAST runs the kiosk, guests pay per cup
ROAST runs and staffs a branded coffee kiosk or cart at your event. Guests order and pay at the kiosk, the way they would at one of our cafés. You get a proper coffee and karak offer for your visitors, run by a licensed operator, without buying a hosted cart for the day.
Indicative café prices from our published menu: karak chai AED 14, cappuccino AED 18, flat white AED 20, iced latte AED 20, Iced Dubai Chocolate Latte AED 30. The kiosk menu and prices for your event are agreed on the quote and may differ from the café menu. See the full menu.
Organiser terms
Organisers set the terms for vendors. The usual shapes are a pitch fee, a revenue share or a hybrid of the two. We quote per event once we know the organiser's terms, the dates and the trading hours. We do not publish a fee here, and nothing is assumed until you have the quote in writing.
What we bring
- ✦Barista crew: trained staff to serve through your opening hours
- ✦The cart or kiosk: branded, set up in your build window
- ✦Consumables: cups, lids and the day's ingredients
- ✦Power, water and space: confirmed on the quote, in writing. We do not publish a figure; see the venue requirements checklist for what we ask
Permits and compliance
ROAST is a licensed Dubai F&B operator, and we handle our side of the permit. For a temporary event in Dubai, food permits go through Dubai Municipality's event food permit process. As we understand it, the food business, the venue and the organiser are all registered on FoodWatch; the application is made at least 3 working days before the event; only licensed, graded food establishments qualify; and only final preparation happens on site. We handle our side of the permit; the organiser registers the event. Events in other emirates follow their own authorities' rules. Please confirm current requirements with the authority and the organiser.
Where this works
These are examples of event types, not a list of events we serve. Whether a vendor is accepted is always subject to the organiser's vendor terms.
- ✦Festival and seasonal-attraction kiosks: For example, Global Village lists coffee shops and kiosks on its leasing route, so a kiosk there goes through the organiser's own leasing process.
- ✦Weekend markets: Open-air weekend markets such as Ripe Market, where visitors buy food and drink.
- ✦Shopping-festival markets: Markets run during the Dubai Shopping Festival (DSF).
- ✦Seasonal city events: Seasonal events at Expo City Dubai.
- ✦Marathons and fitness villages: Mass-participation runs, rides and fitness villages, where finishers and spectators queue for a hot drink.
- ✦University festivals: Campus festivals and open days.
Where it usually does not work: large arena and stadium events usually have exclusive concessions, so an outside kiosk is often not possible. We would rather tell you that early than quote for a pitch that cannot happen.

How to start
1. Send the event, the dates and the vendor terms on offer. We reply within one working day (Monday to Friday). 2. We check the organiser's vendor terms and whether outside coffee vendors are accepted. 3. We quote per event: terms, crew, kiosk, power, water and space. 4. The organiser registers the event and we complete our side of the permit. 5. We set up in your build window and serve every trading day.
Common questions
Do you charge the organiser or the guests?
Guests pay per cup at the kiosk, at café prices. The organiser's terms for a vendor are a pitch fee, a revenue share or a hybrid of both, quoted per event. This is different from hiring a coffee cart for a hosted event, where the day rates are published.
What permits are needed?
ROAST is a licensed Dubai F&B operator and we handle our side of the permit. For a temporary event in Dubai, the process goes through Dubai Municipality's event food permit: the business, the venue and the organiser are all registered on FoodWatch, and the application is made at least 3 working days before the event. The organiser registers the event. Other emirates apply their own authorities' rules. Confirm current requirements with the authority and the organiser.
What is the minimum duration?
Quoted per event. We publish no minimum, and we will tell you plainly if a short slot is not worth staffing.
What do you bring, and what does the organiser provide?
We bring the barista crew, the cart or kiosk and the consumables. Power, water and space are confirmed on the quote, in writing, using the same checklist as our hosted carts.
Which events suit a paid kiosk?
Open-to-the-public events where guests expect to buy food and drink: festivals, markets, fan zones, sports and fitness events, university festivals and seasonal attractions. Large arena and stadium events usually have exclusive concession arrangements, so a vendor may not be allowed at all.
Can you promise a pitch at a named event?
No. Every organiser sets its own vendor terms and decides who trades. We help you ask; we do not promise a place at any particular event.
