Industries: tech events and hackathons

Coffee for hackathons, developer meetups and demo days in Dubai

A hackathon runs through the night, a meetup runs through the evening and a demo day runs through the day, and the coffee has to keep up with all three. This page is for organisers of tech events in Dubai, from Internet City and DIFC to Silicon Oasis. It shows the flasks, trays and cart packages we publish, which two cafés never close, and a worked total you can use before asking for a quote.

Prices as published on our corporate catering and coffee cart pages on 13 October 2026, ex 5% VAT. Opening hours as published on our 24-hour café page.

Quick answers

Is there a ROAST café open all night for a hackathon?
Yes. Deira (Business Village) and Dubai Silicon Oasis are open 24 hours, every day. A karak is AED 14 dine-in.
Late-night options
What does coffee cost for an overnight event?
A 1L karak flask (about six cups) is from AED 40, a specialty filter-coffee flask from AED 65 and a 10-cup karak tray from AED 250. A cart is from AED 3,000 for a half day, before 5% VAT.

Which format fits which event

  • Overnight hackathons: flasks and trays stay hot and need no one to serve them, and the two 24-hour cafés cover the small hours.
  • Developer meetups: a few flasks or trays at registration is usually enough for an evening.
  • Demo days and showcase events: a barista cart gives visitors and judges a reason to stop at the foyer.

Flasks, trays and cart prices

Late-night options: the 24-hour cafés

Only two ROAST cafés never close, so a build that runs past midnight can rely on them and not on the others.

A team near either can walk in at any hour for a karak at AED 14 dine-in. Anything beyond walk-in quantities is confirmed on your quote. The full list of hours is on the 24-hour café page.

Tech districts we know

Organisers in Media City and Internet City and in Dubai Silicon Oasis and Digital Park have their own pages, and the DIFC fintech crowd is covered on our DIFC page. University and school hackathons are covered in coffee for universities and schools, and shift-based crews in coffee for night-shift teams.

Worked example: an overnight hackathon for 60

An organiser plans two cups each for 60 participants, which is 120 cups or 20 flasks, plus two trays for the demo morning. Using published rates only:

This illustrates arithmetic from published rates, not a quote. Delivery is confirmed on your quote. A half-day Espresso Bar cart for the demo day would add AED 3,000 before VAT.

Estimate your own total

The coffee cart estimator builds a cart total from the published rates and is a guide, not a quote. The venue questions are on the venue requirements checklist.

We reply within one working day (Monday to Friday) with an itemised quote. Every order carries a VAT tax invoice with TRN, purchase orders are accepted, and delivery is within Dubai.

Common questions

Which ROAST cafés are open 24 hours?

Deira (Business Village) and Dubai Silicon Oasis, every day. Other cafés have set hours, so an overnight build cannot rely on them.

How many flasks do we need for an overnight hackathon?

A flask is about six cups. Count the cups, divide by six and round up, and plan two cups each for a long night. For 60 people that is 120 cups, or 20 flasks.

How much are flasks and trays?

A 1L karak flask is from AED 40, a saffron chai flask AED 44, a specialty filter-coffee flask from AED 65, a gahwa flask with dates from AED 55 and a 10-cup karak tray from AED 250, before 5% VAT.

Can we have a barista cart at a demo day?

Yes. A half-day cart with one barista is from AED 3,000 for up to 4 hours and about 100 guests, and a full day with two baristas is from AED 4,500, before 5% VAT. Each extra hour is AED 400.

Do you deliver to Internet City, DIFC and Silicon Oasis?

Delivery is within Dubai. Tell us the building, date and quantities and the quote confirms the delivery details in writing.

How much notice do you need?

Carts need from 5 working days’ notice and a 50% deposit confirms the date. For flasks and trays, send the date and quantities and we reply within one working day (Monday to Friday).
